Our Research Partners

At Gowin Valley Farms Mushrooms, we recently expanded our organic, Certified Naturally Grown mushroom cultivation operation and production facilities. We are working with Kennesaw State University and Cornell University to expand our understanding of best practices and semi-automated indoor cultivation modules. A part of this grant is also researching growing mushrooms on agricultural waste by-products from our farm and other Georgia & Tennessee farms.

We are focused on expanding research in gourmet mushroom cultivation and more. Through our collaborations with universities, we grow with a greater purpose at GVF Mushrooms. We seek to provide our local community and economy with fresh, CNG, local mushroom options by growing with a purpose — for research projects at our partnered institutions.

Along with our KSU & Cornell University partnership, we partner with the University of Tennessee Knoxville to collaborate on both foraged and cultivated mushroom projects and research grants.

Gowin Valley Farms Mushrooms has research opportunities with local universities to provide undergraduate and graduate-level internships on our farm. We work with Dr. Susan Burran at Dalton State located in Dalton and Dr. Hill Craddock University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

We produce all of our mushrooms in-house, from spores to fruiting, using all USDA-certified organic products. Our mushrooms are custom-grown for each Chef and restaurant we work with to ensure a curated mushroom experience that works exactly as the Chef needs for their menu and dishes.

Our mushrooms are harvested day of delivery to ensure our chefs receive the highest quality, freshest mushrooms with maximized shelf life and the best appearance, taste and quality.

We work with individuals, chefs and restaurants looking to use organically-grown, local, sustainably-grown gourmet mushrooms.
