  • Our mushroom coffee combines our Certified Naturally Grown Hericium erinaceus (Lion’s Mane), Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi) and Wildcrafted Trametes versicolor (Turkey Tail) to USDA Organic Goodman’s Coffee from a female-owned farm in Guatemala.

  • We recommend using this on anything needing a little boost of flavor. Our favorite is using it on fried eggs or omelets in the morning.

Mushroom Honey

  • The Chanterelle Honey is an excellent apricot-like flavor honey. From drizzling over yogurt or granola to adding it to your favorite dessert, or fruit. It is also a wonderful tea flavoring and sweetener.

    The Candy Cap Honey is great as a sweetener + flavoring for your favorite drinks, granola, yogurt and more! Tasting like caramel, it is a great dual flavoring and sweetener. We also love it drizzled over top of pastries, cheese cake and any desserts!

  • We recently launched two different types of mushrooms honey!

    Our Yellowfoot Chanterelle Honey is made with Wildcrafted Yellowfoot Chanterelle (Craterellus tubaeformis) and combined with local organic Wildflower Honey. This honey has a fruity, apricot-like flavor. We love this on granola, on fruit, yogurt, in tea or coffee as a 2 for 1 sweetener and flavor additive!

    Our Candy Cap Honey is made with Wildcrafted Candy Cap Mushrooms (Lactarius rufulus) and local organic Wildflower Honey. This honey flavor is caramel. It goes great on yogurt, desserts (especially cheese cake), granola, in coffee as a flavoring and sweetener (another great 2 in 1!), Emma also loves it on any type of pastry or fruit.

  • We produce cold-fruiting Log Dowels for the winter season when there aren't fresh vegetables in your garden you can have fresh mushrooms from the logs to help with a sustainable lifestyle. Liquid Culture

    From Oyster varieties, to Chestnuts, Lion's Mane, King Trumpet, Shiitake, Enoki, Cordyceps, Reishi, Turkey Tail, Beech + other foraged species depending on the season!

  • For Mycology work at home or in a lab to inject into sterilized grain as the first step in growing your mushrooms at home. LC allows you to go straight from spores to grain.

Colonized / Uncolonized Agar Plates 

  • We offer all of the species of mushrooms we grow for colonized agar plates.

    Order our uncolonized agar plates to accompany a GVF Liquid Culture or for your spores or a mushroom transfer you're interested in cultivating.

  • MEA (Malt Extract Agar) is used to create our agar plates. Using agar to grain is a slower process than liquid culture to grain but both can be used interchangeably. You may also use our agar plates to create your own Liquid Culture (LC)

Certified Naturally Grown Colonized or Uncolonized sawdust substrate pre-sterilized and pre-colonized or uncolonized for mycology lab work all made in-house at Gowin Valley Farms Mushrooms

Colonized + Uncolonized Grain 

  • Uncolonized, sterilized USDA-certified organic grain allows you to do your own mycology work at home.

    All grain comes in an easy-to-use injection port unicorn bag. This helps minimize open-air contact and thus contamination. Select a strain from any of our species to begin in the middle of the mycological process.

    Colonized USDA-certified organic grain is available in the species of your choice. Buy 4-10 sterilized Master's Mix bags to add your inoculated grain to. This is the shortest and last part of the at-home mycology process before you begin growing your mushrooms.

  • Uncolonized: injection port bag, easiest way to inject liquid culture to colonize grain spawn.

    Colonized: directly into Master's Mix to colonize and create your own fruiting blocks/grow kits.

    We recommend buying colonized grain or liquid culture with uncolonized grain spawn before attempting to transfer agar plates to sterilized grain to decrease contamination and to slowly learn how to do mycology at home!

Master’s Mix

  • Comprised of Amish Natural Oak + a little bit of non-GMO soy. No soy is uptaken by the mushrooms, GVF Mushrooms are soy-free. These bags are the final step in the mycological progress. Once colonized they become your grow kits to fruit.

  • You can add a quarter of a cup/ 1 cup of colonized grain spawn. The more spawn added, the shorter the time to colonization. Once grain spawn is added seal and shake the bag vigorously to combine the mix. Takes 30 days for them to fully colonize and become ready to fruit.
